Liwaa al-Umma is a Sunni Jihadist organiztion seeking global conquest under an Islamic state.  They operate in Syria and have over 6,000 members from several nations.  They were established in 2011 by Abd al Mahti al Harati.  Liwaa al-Umma is part of a Salafist Jihadist coalition fighting the Syrian government.  Since September 2012 the group has been allied with the Free Syrian Army.
