Ahrar ash-Sham or Islamic Movement of Free Men of the Levant

At least 10,000 members strong, this Salafist Jihadist movement in Syria is battling the Syrian government.  They were established in 2011 and operate with Syria's Al Qaida arm.  This group has been on a PR campaign to lighten their extremist reputation with moderate sounding words in order to attract American support.  The group maintains ties to the Free Syrian Army.
